Option A: Analysing text with Sketch Engine (by Vlasta Ohlídalová)
This workshop will guide you through Sketch Engine, a leading corpus management system. You will learn to use it for language analysis to find typical usage patterns, examples, synonyms or data for probabilistic models as well as how to build your own linguistic databases. The workshop is user-oriented and does not require any specific skills.

Option B: Using Linux for text processing (by Vít Suchomel)
This workshop will show you some basic strategies for indexing and searching very large text databases (corpora). The workshop will combine slides and practical work on a remote Linux system, therefore you should have elementary Linux shell skills.
